Tree Talks - The Maple in Lamoparken

At Kulturnatt in Trondheim, Kulturnatt and DansiT invited audience to an exciting performance experience in collaboration with LATERNA where trees, people and everything in between were included as participants in an artistic and meditative meeting – in the middle of Lademoen park.
In the period 2018-2022, LATERNA visited four old, prominent and venerable city trees in Oslo during four seasons. On September 13, they came to meet the Maple in Lamoparken – and invited audience to join their Tree Talks session. The session included consuming spagyric elixir (plant alchemy) of Maple and a meditative journey into the Maple tree itself!
After the Tree Talks session, a conversation followed inside Rosendal Teater as part of DansiT's Salon-concept, where LATERNA facilitated a conversation together with invited professor Nora Sørensen Vaage with the topic: How to meet “the more-than-human”? LATERNA shared from their art practice, which they referred to as an artistic ecology, and from their book Utopian Gardens.
